VITRA 810 for SubCyclo®

TreatmentGlaucoma Lasers

810 nm diode laser for SubCyclo® non-destructive glaucoma treatment, plus standard 810 nm retina treatments.

VITRA 810 with the SubCyclo® probe performs SubLiminal® transscleral cyclophotocoagulation: a non-destructive laser treatment for glaucoma using trains of very short microsecond pulses that control the thermal effect and preserve the ciliary body. The same laser also performs the usual 810 nm glaucoma and retina treatments via slit lamp, LIO, operating microscope and laser probes.

Key features

  1. 01

    Non-destructive glaucoma treatment

SubLiminal® mode (duty cycle 5–35%) gives precise control of the thermal effect and preserves the structures of the ciliary body.

  2. 02

    Proven IOP reduction

Significant and persistent IOP reduction at 12 months, with mean medications reduced from 3.4 to 2.9 (Benhatchi et al., J Glaucoma 2019).

  3. 03

    Avoids thermal side effects

No serious intraocular inflammation, phthisis bulbi, persistent hypotony or cystoid macular edema reported. The treatment is repeatable.

  4. 04

    One probe, two treatments

The SubCyclo® probe has a removable footplate for both SubLiminal® and thermal cyclophotocoagulation.

  5. 05

    One laser, two specialties

In retina mode it connects to slit lamp (photocoagulation and TTT), laser indirect ophthalmoscope, OR microscope and endo-probes.
